Knightsbridge Masterclasses

The Knightsbridge Academy offers various masterclasses open to everyone, covering how to build a career in national security, intelligence and geopolitical risk, alongside the knowledge needed to thrive in those fields. Attendees will receive a certificate of completion for each masterclass they attend. All masterclasses are delivered virtually.

Careers in Geopolitics, Intelligence and National Security

A live two hour masterclass led by Finley Grimble (click to view his LinkedIn).

How do you build a career in geopolitics, intelligence or national security? This session offers a practical guide to finding opportunities, making a strong application and developing your career once you’re in the field.

We’ll cover:

What roles are available across government and international organisations, and where to actually find them.
What employers look for and how to demonstrate the skills and experience they need.
How to approach applications and interviews, including when you’re entering the field for the first time.
How to enter, thrive and progress within organisations such as NATO, the Ministry of Defence, Foreign Office, Home Office, Cabinet Office, SIS, MI5, the UK’s energy department and the UN.

The masterclass is designed primarily for people based in the UK, although many of the broad takeaways will be applicable across NATO nations and beyond. The masterclass focuses on government and international organisation careers, but will also touch on geopolitical roles in finance, defence, energy, extractives and technology.

Price: £85

Those accepted onto the masterclass will also be invited to arrange one-to-one career strategy, planning and training sessions with Finley Grimble.

Preparations in Intelligence - NATO

For intelligence and strategy officials working in Western national services or within NATO, understanding the Alliance is essential. This masterclass explains how NATO works, what shapes its priorities and how its member states come together to make collective decisions. It also examines the range of threats the Alliance must assess and respond to.

We’ll cover:

NATO’s political and military structure, and how its different components work together.
How national priorities shape consultation, consensus and collective action.
The Alliance’s strategic priorities and the intelligence questions that follow from them.
The threats facing NATO.

The masterclass is designed for people preparing for intelligence and national security roles, as well as professionals who need a stronger working understanding of NATO.

Military capabilities, national security concerns and covert activity.
The sources officials should follow when assessing China.
How to weigh evidence and produce an objective assessment for decision makers.
